Maine Bird Atlas (Pre-order)

Pre-order your copy of the Maine Bird Atlas, a comprehensive new resource documenting the distribution and breeding status of birds across Maine.

The Maine Bird Atlas was a statewide project led by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, with support from conservation partners, professional biologists, and thousands of community scientists. Years of fieldwork and observation contributed to an unprecedented look at Maine’s bird populations and the habitats they depend on.

This beautifully produced volume brings together detailed species accounts, maps, photographs, and findings from the statewide atlas effort, creating an important reference for birders, naturalists, researchers, conservation professionals, and anyone interested in Maine’s wildlife.

Project partners included the Maine Natural History Observatory, Maine Audubon, and Biodiversity Research Institute.
