Mint condition stamps are available to to the public as collector's items*. Revenue from the sale of stamps is dedicated to the conservation and management of waterfowl in Maine.
The 2025 stamp was designed by Rebekah Lowell of Biddeford, Maine, whose painting of a Bufflehead was selected from the Maine Duck Stamp Contest entries submitted by Maine resident artists. Signed and unsigned stamps are available, as well as singles, sheets, and blocks.

The Department will sell the 2025 stamp until June 30, 2026, after which any unsold stamps will be destroyed. Previous stamps (1984-2024) were sold under the same procedure and are available only on the secondary market, from stamp collectors and dealers
*These stamps are only collector's items. They are not postage stamps. You must have waterfowl hunting as an authority on your printed or electronic license to hunt waterfowl in Maine.
