Mint condition stamps are available to to the public as collector's items*. Revenue from the sale of stamps is dedicated to the conservation and management of waterfowl in Maine.
The 2026 stamp was designed by Richard A Allery Jr of Islesford, Maine, whose painting of a Green-Winged Teal was selected from the Maine Duck Stamp Contest entries submitted by Maine resident artists. Signed and unsigned stamps are available, as singles, sheets, and blocks.

The Department will sell the 2026 stamp until June 30, 2027, after which any unsold stamps will be destroyed. Previous stamps (1984-2025) were sold under the same procedure and are available only on the secondary market, from stamp collectors and dealers
*These stamps are only collector's items. They are not postage stamps. You must have waterfowl hunting as an authority on your printed or electronic license to hunt waterfowl in Maine.
